A young widowed mother with a peculiar connection to the forest, Kadi grew up as part of a backwoods fundamentalist cult and escaped to Northcliff Pass to make a new life.
Poised and dignified and taking no nonsense. Perfectionist and steady, her emotional highs and lows can be extreme, but only certain people are allowed to see them. She is used to working hard for what she needs and harder for what she wants, if she ever gets either at all. Very much prone to bottling her emotions out of habit. Kadi is by nature introverted and melancholic. She prefers a direct approach to problem-solving and is frustrated by people who do not. She is more focused on the issues at hand than how people feel about it, and is willing to hurt feelings if it will solve the problem, though she takes no enjoyment in the task. Feelings were never a consideration in her old life.
Kadi is an expert forager thanks to living a life of destitution in a land teeming with wild food. She can spin yarn, knit, and sew. Determination and resourcefulness give her great confidence in most new tasks, and all manner of homemaking was trained into her from birth.
